Hello! My name is Amy Shanley.  My child has been participating in the RA guard since 2019.  My involvement in the performance arts started in 1983; starting as a majorette, gradually building my skills in colorguard and rounding out my time as the instructor/show designer for Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, PA.  Who knew that I would return to the sport of the arts as a guard parent?!  As for my professional life, I earned a bachelors in Psychology and masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.  I work as a mental health clinician in residential services with children.  Due to my experiences, I feel that I bring an unique perspective as a former participant, instructor and now guard parent.  Being involved with the Gates Chili Independent Winterguard organization has been an awesome experience as I am member-focused and provide an amazing experience for each and every member in the organization.  I look forward to continuing to serve on the board for the next 2 years and help our organization grow.
